INSTRUMENTATION
FROM CLASSROOM TO CONTROL ROOM — YOUR CAREER STARTS HERE.
Train to Monitor, Measure, and Control Critical Processes.
With ABC Pelican’s Instrumentation training program, you’ll prepare for a high-demand career maintaining the systems that power, protect, and control today’s industrial operations.
What is an Instrumentation Technician?
Instrumentation Technicians are essential to keeping industrial operations safe, efficient, and in control. They install, calibrate, and maintain the devices and systems that measure, monitor, and regulate pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other critical process variables.
On a typical day, instrumentation technicians might calibrate transmitters, perform loop checks, stroke control valves, troubleshoot signal issues, interpret P&IDs and loop sheets, and verify accurate communication with PLCs and DCS systems. Their work ensures that facilities run smoothly, safely, and reliably.
If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy solving problems, and like working with technology and your hands, a career in instrumentation could be the perfect fit. With opportunities spanning refineries, chemical plants, power generation, water treatment, and beyond, instrumentation technicians are always in demand.
